Together with translation services, we offer several types of graphic processing:
Keeping the original page layout
If you send us your document in editable format (e.g. MS Word), it is easier to stick to the original page layout. Such service is free of charge.
Page layout reconstruction
If you send us your document in non-editable format (e.g. PDF file) and the translation must stick to the layout of the original document, we can reconstruct the original page layout in translation depending on the quality of a converted non-editable document. In such circumstances, our price quote may include an additional charge for this kind of service.
DTP
If you send us a document for translation together with graphic materials (graphics program files, pictures, fonts etc.), we will prepare a price quote for translation together with DTP service. It will cover a substitution of original text with translated text exactly in the right spots of your document, overall modification of page layout according to the target language (the target text may be longer and may overlap with some pictures as a result). The price of DTP service is calculated according to the extent of work on your documents; the minimal rate is 2.00 per page.
How to order graphical processing
To ensure the final processing fulfils your expectations, it helps us tremendously if you provide us with the following information:
- the purpose of the graphical processing. If a document is being prepared for printing or if the goal is to preserve the original layout of the document and if it will primarily be used for internal purposes in electronic format;
- if you have the original source images, fonts and other resources associated with the source material;
- if a design manual should be followed when making changes.
Other information we need to complete the price quotation:
- desired completion date;
- your contact details for any additional questions (especially a phone number) and
- complete invoicing details (full permanent address is sufficient for individuals).
After receiving your request, we’ll complete a quotation, send it to you by email, and, if you agree and confirm the order, we’ll consider the order binding and begin working on it.
FAQ
We most often process InDesign (.indd, .idml), FrameMaker (.fm, .mif) and Corel files. We’d be happy to process your Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator files as well.
